GENERAL PURPOSE

This position facilitates dialy Human Resources functions such as maintaining employee records and supporting the entire employee process including interviewing, employee reviews and the benefit process. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources, understand and have experience in Lean Management (continuous process improvement) as well as general administrative responsibilities, and will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the successful end-to-end administration of HR projects and operations. This position contributes to the attainment of specifiec goals and results of the HR Division and the organization.

Works under the supervision of the Senior Human Resources Analyst.

The primary focus of this position is to assist in the implementation of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan and Trails, Bikeways and Paths Master Plan, by managing the planning, design and construction of parks & recreation capital development projects. The position also assists in long-range planning of parks and recreation facilities, open space and trails in the City of Sammamish and adjacent jurisdictions.

Because of the small size of the City staff, each staff member is expected to perform a wide range of field and office duties from time to time. This is a full-time professional position, requiring knowledge of an advanced type. The position serves at-will at the pleasure and discretion of the City.
